    PCL5c printer driver is for Color Printers, and the PCL6 printer driver is for both color and black-and-white printers.
    PCL6 is an advanced version of PCL5c, and offers superior printing quality and speed.

    iRC3200 series is different animal then iRC5180 series, especially when it comes to Fiery printing.

    Best to invest in a H1 Fiery & Spectrometer fo calibration. (see pdf attachment)
    U can choose the Rendering Style ( PRESENTATION or PHOTOGRAPHIC )

    U remove all calibrations>then calibrate Printer>then calibrate the Fiery.

    Without a Fiery connected,u are limited to basic calibration with Kodak Grey Scale calibration us.

    Also;
    If u don't use OEM \TONER,DRUMS _u have to live with what u use.

    **You can also install a new Hard Drive/ have seen poor/or going bad HDD's effect calibrations

    Re: Canon irc4080 / 4580 / 5180 Color problem

    I have no issues with dark prints on these machines. Actually the color is great on these machines IF MAINTAINED AND CALIBRATED PROPERLY. Clean the optics, white strip,etc. Using 24 or 28 lb. weight. brilliance/brightness of at least 98,do white level adjustment...FUNC/CCD/DFLVL1 and 2 I believe. Clean the patch sensors for itb. Do PASCAL(full gradations) using the same good white paper as used earlier. Make sure you untweak your service mode color adjustments first before doing full gradations. Make sure paper is registered PROPERLY IN ALL CASSETTES before doing gradations. Do not use coated paper to do gradations. Many techs forget about optics when the printer has a color printing issue. If you do gradations with dirty and uncalibrated optics, your colors will never be correct. Like I stated earlier, I have no issues with the color on these machines and neither do my customers. For a business color machine the color is excellent.. Only weak point on them is media limitations
