Cass lift moter not working Canon IR 5065

I just rebuilt Doc Feeder and all Cass Sections, i never checked the cass before i rebuilted the cass feed sections and they called back and said the #3 Cass is not working. I got there and not motor for the lift, changed cass to eliminate that still no motor! I am not sure if its the motor! Also does any body have parts for this machine? We do mainly KM and Ricoh!
    Thanks
    Bill

Pull the feed assembly out and make sure all the photo interrupts are seated correctly. If you pull out cassette and actuate lever at upper right side that cassette pushes on when closed, does lifter motor operate? Make sure to reboot machine. If lifter times out, it will shut off motor until machine is rebooted. Make sure there is not a paper behind the cassette also. You mainly do KM and Ricoh? I have pity for you.

I do alright with KM and Ricoh, I have worked on older canons like the 6550'S, I did notice that when i was pulling out the feed section, i forgot to release the cass and then after i pulled the feed unit half way out then i released the cass. maybe i did something in that process. I didnt check that cass before i changed the rollers. would you know a good source for parts on these.
thanks a great deal for your input.
