Check your paper settings. If you are running a thicker paper stock through the machine and haven't set the machine up for that, this problem is likely to occur.
Also, this problem can be caused by a worn out or defective fusing unit, but that will cost you money to fix. Checking the paper settings is free - do that first.
You should also check the colour composition of the text, I've often seem where the composition of the text may be over saturated with high color percentages, especially black. You'll need to go to the application and and try reducing the color compostion of black. Common problem with graphic software, the application could be using high concentrations of cymk for example, say 50 % coverage of each will produce a stunning black, but at 200% coverage. The device will not be able to fuse that much toner. I suspect this is your issue, as you can feel the text raised of the page, a sure indication the color composition is set too high.
Roho: This one is B&W.
Smels like high temp on fix unit like Iowa say.Check paper setting and fix temp in s.mode.
Can be also a worn fixing unit but to be sure post a pic please.
Check test prints from service mode for some difference on the letters.
Practice makes perfect
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
A picture is worth a thousand words
If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself
Me bad, I saw the description of the symptoms and locked in on common problems like that I've seen before. Still raised text draws my attention.

Using OEM toner?

proper temp check ??
Lower Roller Pressure (nip width) check
Before measuring the nip width, wait for 15 min after the end of the machine’s warm-up
period and make 20 A4 copies:
1) Place A3 copy paper in the manual feed tray.
2) Make the following selections in service mode to generate output:
COPIER>FUNCTION>FIXING>NIP-CHK.
The A3 cop paper will be picked up and a copy will be delivered.
Middle of paper= Standard: measuring 9.0mm ±0.5mm

i forgot something when the image faintly appears on third sheet it as sending 1 set of 5 sheets or 10 sets of 5 sheets consecutive , the last set will always be clean as you could ask for..using canon toner as well. will check fuser , this has been going on for a while, ran 6 case of paper yesterday.. if you turn dens up to nine it will make image trace almost go away ,in fact it did for those 6 cases..started a new run of different books and it showed back up can't make it go away..dens adjustment doesn't seem to affect anything at all, no matter what it is on.this is the percetage adjustment correct??
