does it say anything in the display? does it ever stop with an error code?
does it have a display and is there a progress bar or does it show the copy screen? what was the last jam code and error code it had? can you get to the service mode again? maybe you need to just re-flash it. You said you did a ram clear? what was the exact wording on the display of the area you cleared? There is no ram clear word.

This may sound like a canon dealernet answer but have you tried upgrading the firmware as this will resolve many problems on this product it's worked for me.
