    [Error #853] Canon iRc 1028

    Hi Peeps

    Maybe someone can shed some light on my issue.
    Basic background.

    2 Desktops connected via CAT network, 3 Laptops connected via wireless to network.
    Printer IP 10.0.0.100 and all PC's/Laptops have same range etc.

    1 Desktop finds printer via install as normal, but once I send Windows test page machine beeps and gives NG #853 code under Job Status Report.
    All other PC's/Laptops have UFR II 21.40 drivers installed, and print perfectly.

    I have tried UFR, PS3, PCL6 drivers. All give the same error.

    Any ideas?

    Cause Remedy
    -Using the wrong printer driver.
    -The machine does not have the proper printer kit installed (e.g.
    UFR, PCL, PS kit(s)).
    -The print job did not print because due to lack of
    resources on the printer (e.g. memory, HD space, etc).
    -Print spooler on the machine is full.
    -The number of secure print jobs have exceeded the
    maximum limit that can be reserved at this time.
    -Make sure that the printer driver that you’re using is the correct
    one for the operating system on the computer that you are
    printing from and specific to the printer model that you’re printing
    to.
    -Check and verify that the correct and the required printer kit is
    Installed (e.g. UFR, PCL, PS kit(s)).
    -Reduce the number of pages to print.
    -Erase unnecessary jobs that are stuck or in reserve.
    -Turn off spooler on the printer, ADDITIONAL FUNCTION >
    SYSTEM SETTINGS > NETWORK SETTINGS > USER
    SPOOLER, set this value to OFF.
    -Print out or erase secured print jobs that are stored or waiting to
    be printed on the machine.
    -Try printing again when other jobs have completed printing.

    Have tried everything that the manual suggests, hence the post... But thanks for having a go.

    Indeed. And the other Pc's have UFR II drivers v21.40. And work 100%...

    No. Full Admin rights all services working. Only thing that makes me wonder is it is a all in one PC. And have random issues with these pieces of....

    Did this PC ever print correctly using the UFRII driver_?

    Try cleaning out the drivers. Go to run....printmanagement.msc
