    iradvance 6255

Had a tech working on an E 017 error. He ordered and replaced the etb and cams and the release arm at the back of the process unit. I've since been back and cannot get the engagement gear and slider to mesh together. I have the entire process unit out as this release arm is on the back of the frame. I doubt the other tech took the unit out, and replaced the release gear and arm while not able to fully see how it engages. I've been through the manual, looking for a good explaination of the engagement process, but do not see any instructions on dis or re-assembly. Wondering if anyone has had to work on this unit. What phase are the cams in relation to the sensors, is ps 55 covered by the flag when the belt is engaged? I really have no way of knowing for sure if the cams haven't been put out of phase earlier. The manual doesn't have much to go by for this situation.

    Thanks in advance

I've had 4 or 5 6255/65/75 series machines error E17. I clean the old grease from the white cams and regrease them . Never get a recall. On 6000 series the engagement block was plastic and would break..they issued a metal one.
