    Re: UPGRADING Canon IR105

I attached the pictures for service mode code errors.
Also, I noticed that if I change the feeder, two side copy works fine but still with one copy only and not more or it will jam.

    Regards.

    Re: UPGRADING Canon IR105

    Thanks Teckat for you reply.

But I don't have any problem with the machine except two side copy.
So, please can you tell which error is related to this issue.

    Regards.

    ERROR.jpg
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The error codes are grouped as follows according to the items they refer to:
E000 to E399 error code related to the copier
E400 to E499 error code related to the ADF
E500 to E514 error code related to the finisher
E515 error code related to the inserter
E518 error code related to the paper folding unit
E530 to E595 error code related to the finisher
E5F0 to E5F9 error code related to the saddle stitch assembly
E601 to E830 error code related to the copier

When the self diagnostic mechanism has gone ON, the machine may be reset by turning its power switch. This, however, does not apply to E000,
E001, E002, E003, E004, E005, E013, E020, or E717, indicating a fault which can lead to serious consequences if the machine is reset without removing
the cause (i.e., melting thermistor, which will overheat the fixing roller, or overflowing of toner from the hopper).
If the code is from E000 to E003, the power switch will go OFF in about 30 sec if it is turned ON without resetting; in the case of E004, the power
switch will go OFF in about 3 sec after indicting E000 if the power switch is turned ON without resetting.
You will have to clear the data in the RAM on the DC controller PCB for the following: E000, E001, E002, E003, E004, E005, E013, E020, and
    E717.

    <Clearing Errors>
    1) Execute the following in service mode: COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR.
    2) Press the Reset key twice to return to the Copy Mode screen.
    3) Turn off and the on the main power switch.

    Re: UPGRADING Canon IR105

you seem to be getting a lot of 0022 jams which is means

xx22 feed path paper sensor 2 stationary jam (S7)

You are getting E202 on the same dates as 0022 jams.
E202 is a no code error, it only shows up in service mode , never on the display.
This happens when the machine has scanner problems
1 copyboard is loose---there is a switch in the left rear corner.
    2 bad home position sensor
    3 bad scanner motor
    4 reader controller problems

Making modifications to Canon IR105 solving the most common continuous problems in this machine.
As I am one of the users for this machine, I am stuck in to two problems at the moment:
1- Two side copy Jamming. ( As you gave me a solution for it in this post which I will try it. )
    2- Very slow PDF printing.

    Regards.
On the duplex unit. I feel that a more popular culprit of 2 sided jams is the guide on the left side. The one you open to the left to remove paper. Replace it, you can see that the ribs get worn down by the paper. Also make sure the big guide is intact and not broken along with the two springs being present. This is a must for eliminating two sided jamming.

    Dear teckat
Thank you very much for your reply.

You mean my first step is to clear errors?

    Dear Canon345

    Thanks for your reply.

At the attached picture, do you mean I replace all the left guide # 1 ? or just rollers.
Also, about big right guide # 2 , which spring you mean?, because there are many springs.

    Regards.
