    - An unnecessary message shown below appears after installation of the main controller firmware is completed in Assist Mode. This happens only when the machine starts in the safe download mode and the Assist mode is started after an HDD format has been executed.
    Regarding Service Support Tool v4.22Et, if the message shown below appeared in Assist Mode after the installation process of the main controller firmware is completed, the "Next" button must be clicked to go to the next step without doing any operation.
    Service Support Tool v4.23Ev has been modified so that this message does not appear.

    Better get a HDD first.
    Don't waste time trying to reload on that error code.
    Note: new HDD or a refurbished on , must be formatted inside Printer with Printers Firmware FORMAT file, before reloading firmware.

    so I need all
    school need, but do not have the money to repair, gift them the hard drive to school

    Preparing System Software files for the Service Support Tool

    1. Download the series model file
    2. Execute the series model file. This will place the file in the following location: [EXAMPLE MODEL LISTED]
    “C:\Canon File Folder\SST Service Support Tool Folder\SST Files”.

    SST2.jpg3. Start the Service Support Tool (SST) and select “Register Firmware”.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    4. Right click the C: folder on the list and browse to the following location:
    “C:\Canon File Folder\SST Service Support Tool Folder\SST Files\ iRxxxx (select your model & ver.#)”.

    5. Click the SEARCH button and the Service Support Tool (SST) will search that folder for the
    series model system software and propagate in the
    right <-of the SST screen.
