    IPR C1+ / E020-0485

Hello everyone i have a problem with an ipr C1+ constantly appears the error code E020-0485, i changed the ATR sensor (from another C1), the patch sensor (from anther C1) and the kit cable (from another C1) but the error still appears after 1 print or 20 prints and sometimes print 300 prints and the code doesn't appears..... it's weird.

Thank you all for the help.

    Developer Change

Check to see if the image patch sensor is reading the patches on the drum.
In service mode <Level 2>DISPLAY>DENS>, check P-SENS-P and P-SENS-S for values. If the values are zero >> check that the patch sensor shutter mechanism is working correctly.

The E020 Detail Codes associated with the Photosensitive Drum Unit are XX85, XX90 and XX93.
Although these Detail Codes indicate a Patch Image Sensor Error, the reality is that a malfunction of components in the Drum Unit can generate the Patch Image Sensor Detail Codes.

see pdf-----describes a workflow created to aid in troubleshooting E020-xxxx Error Codes on the imagePRESS C1 and imagePRESS C1+.

Initialize the Developing Unit Black. Even if you change the ATR sensor still it gives an error due to abnormal patch/density measurement.

How can I open this block where are sensors and developers?

    Maybe you have some instruction?

Check to see if the image patch sensor is reading the patches on the drum.
In service mode <Level 2>DISPLAY>DENS>, check P-SENS-P and P-SENS-S for values.
If the values are zero, replace the image patch sensor or check that the patch sensor shutter mechanism is working correctly.

How to read the image patch sensor.
Enter service mode Level 1, go to <DISPLAY>DENS> , go to second screen and it will display <PCH-LED-1>(front), <PCH-LED-2>(center), <PCH-LED-3>(rear).
If any read zero, replace the image patch sensor (FM2-2494-000).

Check the shutter for the image patch sensor.
In service mode you can actuate solenoid SL-8 for the shutter.
Check that it is opening smoothly and in a straight direction.
If having problems opening remove the entire P-kit from the copier ,remove and clean the solenoid , shaft and plastic bushing on rear of kit and clean with a solvent.
    Replace as needed.

    those
    REF-Y/M/C # should not be at 0 = Correct value: 464 to 560

    SGNL-Y/M/C # should not be at 0 = Correct value: 250 to 760

did u go into Service Level 2 to check under DISPLAY>DENS>, check P-SENS-P and P-SENS-S for values.

to get in level 2 > while in level 1 >press add function (*) again then #2 on panel

    1. After cleaning the Patch Sensor, execute FUNCTION>MISC-P>PT-LPADJ.
Select DISPLAY>DENS>PCH-LED2, and check the value ofPCH-LED2 (1).

    2. After removing the Patch Sensor Shutter, execute FUNCTION>MISC-P>PT-LPADJ.
Select DISPLAY>DENS>PCH-LED2, and check the value of PCH-LED2 (2).

    3. If (1) is more than 240 and (2) is between 80 and 240, replace the shutter and solenoid. Then,
    execute PT-LPADJ again.
If the value is between 80 and 240, complete the remedy. If not, go to step 4.

    4. After replacing the Patch Sensor, execute PT-LPADJ. If the value is between 80 and 240, complete the remedy.

E020-xx88 = Dark current measurement detected by the front sensor is 30 or less in patch detection.

Error in Patch Sensor (Front) dark current lower limit
DISPLAY>DENS>D-CRNT-P (dark current measurement value) </=30

    1. Check if the Patch Sensor Connector is physically removed.
    2. Replacement due to sensor failure.
Execute FUNCTION>MISC-P>PT-LPADJ==PT-LPADJ Adjust the initial reflector light volume for the patch detection sensor.
Adjust the initial reflector light volume for the patch detection sensor to a specified value.

Select DISPLAY>DENS>PCH-LED1, and check the value of PCH-LED1. (If the value is between 80 and 240, complete the remedy.)
    3. If not, replace the harness and execute PT-LPADJ.
