    ir1730 load paper

    Hi,

I have a ir 1730 that displays load paper A4 even though paper is present in the casette,

the cassette pick up unit does not move, the casette does not lift . The machine is working right from the manual tray.

the Size detect unit seems is working right it shows the different types of paper if you move the casette guides.

does anyone know the problem? pick up unit assembly or dc controler....?

I look forward to hearing from you soon

i have seen this on the 1730 and ir400, where the size detect unit has a cable cut or loose, easily replaced and sometimes repairable, i think if the machine is sitting on a small desk, sometimes the cassette can close and cut the cable as its not sitting correctly, seen it about 4 times now.
