    4051 reader issue

I have a unit that will not read the right original size off the copyboard glass. The adf is fine, I've replaced the ccd, and sensore, plus the controller. Still the same result, has anyone had this issue before?

On some of the other machines check Body/SENS-CNF(set it to 1), may be in level 2. I think that sets it to inch. Also check the doc feeder actuator for open close.

There is a bullitan on this.
TP14 076 I edited my reply and there is no place to upload it. Shows new part number FC8-6450-010 and 4Y8-0019-000. They are new parts to the open/close sensor arm on the machine where the adf hits the arm to show the adf opened.

I've been through all the settings on the reader, had to print the label and enter values, so that was taken careof. The actuator is working. Seems to default ltr, or ltrr size to legal.

    Check out that posted pdf

    Also make sure
OP-SZ-DT is set to "1". ==Orgnl size dtct ON/OFF at copyboard open.

    Adj/set/operate method

    1) Enter the setting value, and then press OK key. 2) Turn OFF/ON the main power switch.

When set to one, all paper sizes from the platen glass will be reconized correctly.

Thanks for the replies, I haven't had a chance to go back to this issue as of yet, but now I have something to try. Thanks again!
