    Canon copier IRC2880

    Hi all

    I set up this canon copier IR C2880, on the net work i can ping it, loaded the driver on the pc but I can not print. when I go to the printer log I can see what i have sent. what must I do to make the machine print.

    You have to make sure the machine is a printer and not just a copier. You have to go into Service Mode and check the Boot ROM version. If it ends with a "C", the machine is not a printer. If it ends with an "N", the machine is a printer and you can move on to your next step of troubleshooting.

    Thanks copier Guy. yes it is with the N all i have done even the access certificate from canon I put in that nunber

    Check for permissions, i.e. make sure there are no restrictions in the additional functions menu,

    You may want to make sure you don't have a duplicate IP address. Unplug the ethernet cable from the copier and ping it again.
    Also check the firmware versions in Service Mode - make sure the print is listed. The license may not have entered or taken properly.

    Check the driver

    I believe the 2880 comes standard with UFR II printing, make sure you installed this driver and not the PCL or PS unless you purchased those options.
