    PCL file append or merge

    Hi all

I have a customer that does production printing on a KM press 1250. Recently they got a new mailing machine that works with bar codes that identifies the documents. The guys there use a program called transform to generate PCL files with all the forms and variable data.
Now they create a master PCL file and add jobs by amending the file with a PCL file for each account. I gets handled as a single file thru windows server but if the job gets to the machine it gets split back up into separate jobs for each customer account.

This makes the production machine start and stop for each job. That is no good for printing time and for the machine.

So there must be something in the PCL language that makes the controller do that. Does anyone out there know how to fix this?
Wish i knew more about PCL commands to be able to figure this out.

Your help would make you a super hero.
    Whatever

Re: PCL file append or merge

Ok had a crash course in PCL.
Seems to be shoty programming on there end.
By appending the smaller files to a master file does not remove the individual headers for each job.
    Whatever
