A little fyi for those with scan to smb issues with smb1 disabled

1) On the computer create a "Scans" folder on the "C" drive
2) Download and install Quick and Easy FTP Server Lite
3) During install you will be asked for, User Name, Password, Folder for root (May not be in this order and may have more)
4) Open the web page of the copier and login as the administrator
5) Goto Address Book and choose the "Detail" if available
6) Input "One Touch" name and "Display Name"
7) Scroll to "Folder Authentication" and input the "Name" and "Password" entered during install
8) Scroll to folder and set drop topdown to "FTP"
9) Enter the the local computer info in the following format in "Path": computer/\

The "" tells the FTP to use the root folder which is "Scans".Lucky Patcher 9Apps VidMate If you are going to have subfolders under "Scans" use that folder name instead of "".

This should work. if "" does not work try any of the following "/", "*", "." . I believe one of these will work. I do not do a lot of FTP but have been using it more often.

about number 5 how i can go to address Book and choose the Detail ? and how can i know if he is available ?

Thanks for the link, it helps to define the requirements. However, if you look at the info, if you are a "public company" [ie: for profit} it requires the seven year retention on all emails related to your business. We do not have the IT staff available to sort through all the emails that need to be archived and those that do not, most companies would not either. If you do business with state or federal accounts and cannot produce the electronic communications exchanged including the scan to emails you would be facing significant fines and penalties. Just trying to be safe!
