    Spooled holding temp files

    Hey guys,

I have an issue on a Kyocera with a customer’s system where the print jobs sent to the server are being held as a temp files until eventually the spooler crashes and the files need to be cleared out manually. I have suggested changing emulation mode & updating to latest KX driver (they were previously using uni driver), no help so far. They also wrote a script to clear the files out each night, but apparently that’s not getting the job done either. The owner is a cheap scape and it’s definitely due to an issue on their network, but their rebuttal is going to be that the last machines worked fine. Not sure what else to try or if I have to start hinting it’s not the machine, it’s the environment....

Any input would be much appreciated!

Install new driver and set it up correctly.
    Ipaddress
    port to raw 9100
    uncheck snmp
    emulation to pcl5e
    uncheck auto configure
do not install the mister happy status monitor

How many workstation just set it up on local workstation and test not on there server

Thanks bsm2... I’m going to go over there later to review all of the settings and modify accordingly. I don’t think this guy is following my instructions correctly.

Can’t go local because they have a program they link to that resides on the server unfortunately.

If they have not installed driver do a clean install new driver and new printer. Do not just update there driver to the kx driver start with a fresh driver.

Have similar issue but wanted to try firmware upgrade. I can't find the file online or don't know kyocera terms. Where do I find it?

Firmware you would need a tech login
Firmware is very very rarely the issue for resolving print issue problems
usually incorrect driver or configuration is the problem
Printer drivers are free from the Kyocera download center here's the link

Try deleting all the corrupt files in the windows spooler directory on the offending PC.

Here is a link to a batch file that automatically deletes all the corrupt spooler files for you.
