Possible way to get chromebook to do job accounting...

Please let me know if this sounds like it will work...
I am going to try it out next weekend...
setup up the following on a windows server...

    SETUP FOR LPR/LPD PRINTER

CONNECT CHROMEBOOK TO (LPR/LPD PRINTER ACTING AS A PRINT SERVER)

MORE INFO ON CONFIGURATION FILE FOR PRINT SERVER

If that works I know I can create a kyocera lpr/lpd print driver with kyocera job accounting code already preset in the driver.
I can have one for each user... and thereby get job accounting working...
If the three links above can work for a regular chromebook...
Please look it over and let me know if I am missing something or if I am barking up the wrong tree...

I do this stuff on the weekends too

Using Chromebook Classic print I do not see why it would not work.

    ok tried it... failed...
google wants you to have a g-suite account...
the feature listed below works then
g-suite account $5 to $6 a month at the moment to get admin access to your cloud account to get this feature...
if anyone knows of another way please let me know...

so your best bet is to pay for a g-suite account and then you should be able to create and share out the print drivers by sending out invites...
if there is another way please enlighten...

thanks again... I will keep searching for a solution...
