    Riso RP3700 and SC7900

    Hey all,

I have an RP3700 linked to an SC7900 and I would like to run it via appletalk to a macintosh running Leopard. I know the drivers call for os 8.6 but I also know that it is possible to run it through leopard. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we could get this set up via Appletalk?

    Thanks in advance
    Anthony

    Just use CUPS!
    • Open browser > goto http://localhost:631
    • Administration > Add printer
    • Choose > windows sspools
    • fill in the IP address of the RIP in the following format: socket://ipaddress
    • provide ppd driver file

    • you will get an error after setting up, about conflicting settings, enable the multifeed(?), just enable multifeed tray (select 'installed' in drop down menu) and the error is gone.
    • Now you can use the printer from any system dialog.
