    Scanning to Macs

Is there a Mac scanning software program that allows "seamless" (customer wording) scanning. Client uses a DHCP network (wired and wireless setup mixed with some PC's but looking to get rid of them and use only Macs) without a network administrator and is looking for something more than can be accomplished with a Ricoh or Sharp copier. Can setup the Sharp fairly easily but does not work properly as he uses his laptop (Mac OS 10.5) in multiple network environments so I can not set a static IP for him. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much for your time and effort in this matter.

Go to Pure-FTPd - About and download the server software for the Mac. Then set the FTP up to run in the resident memory. Give each desktop a unique DNS entry (to avoid DHCP address change problems). Set the copier up to scan to FTP and make sure it is set up to read DNS. Put each scan location into the address book and you're good to go.
