Connecting Ricoh MP4000sp to a Fax Server?

I have a customer using an Xmedius fax server that integrates into their 3Com VCX telephone system.

My customer states that “all our other Sharp MFDs send outbound though our Xmedius fax server. The connection to the fax server requires only a network connection. The fax server then sends outbound faxes through a channel on our PRI circuit.”

Any idea how I set this up on a Ricoh mp4000sp [it is equipped with a fax unit]

I'm not sure how this unit works, but we have sold some fax servers that we integrated with the customers MFP's. The unit we sold actually takes a scan to email and converts it to the fax number. The email is sent to an address, say fax_server@company.com. The from is input manually, where the sender is the number you want to send the fax to (123-4567@company.com). The fax server strips out the phone number and then faxes out. You might want to contact Xmedius to find out how it's done. Or you could call the Sharp guys.
