    Scan to File Copystar 3035

I have a customer that has asked me to setup scanning on their CS3035.

The machine has the printer and scanner buttons to the left of the display. Does this mean the print/scan option is installed?
If so, how do I go about configuring scan to file?

I am not new to connectivity, but I am not familiar with the Copystar scan configuration.

Your help is very much appreciated,
    Steve

The print/scan system are options. The buttons on the control panel are standard...

On the right side at the rear, if you have 2 network RJ45s then the print scan is installed,

    Next steps....

This machine does have 2 network ports.

What sort of scanning does this machine support? Email? SMB?

Does it require any software to enable scanning?

How do I get in to the settings to allow scanning configuration?

    Thanks again

It will scan to network, scan to e-mail or you can use a twain driver and scan to an application. For scan to network you need a utility called (scanner file utility) and to set it up there is a utility called (address editor). You can download the address editor at Kyocera.com or copystar.com, I am not sure you can still download the scanner file utility. Check to see if there is a disk with the copier that may have these on them. You can also do set up thru a web browser. Let me know if you need the file utility and I can e-mail it to you.

Also, to get into the scanner defaults at the copier itself, there is a black button to the right of the display that says defaults/counter. Press that button then touch scanner defaults, you must have a network connection to the scanner card or it won't let you in to the default settings. It will ask for a pin (6482) then you can get into the defaults for the scan system.

sorry to piggyback on this thread, but I was looking for some information and happened to stumble on it.

Basically our main Multifunction went down, and with 1 1/2 months left on the lease, it is a waste of putting money back into it. We have a working CS3035 as a backup copier, but really could use the scanner function as well. Unfortunately, it does NOT have the network already attached and scanning is disabled. Is there a place to buy the Network interface card and get the scanning installed? If anyone can help, please send me a PM, thanks!
