    Konica IP-511 Type A Password

I've got a used Konica IP-511 Type A controller on a BizHub 7255 and I don't know what the password is to change any of the settings. Does anyone know what the default password is (i tried 0000, 00000000, 1234, 12345678 and admin)? If it turns out the password has been changed from the default is there a way to reset the controller to factory default without the password (hopefully a jumper or dip switch or something)?

"sysadm" if this is not the password then you will have to reset with jumpers on the nic board.

Is this the three-pin on with a jumper currently bridging the two upper pins? I'm having a problem with a (apparently) dead NIC (see this post) and if there was a way to reset it that might help. What's the procedure for resetting, do you power up with the jumper off or on the lower pins, then move it back to the upper pins later?

Replied as a separate message, since this info may be of use to others. The procedure (found on The Copier Network) is:

          1. Power down the IP unit and remove the small rear IP511 cover.
          2. Set jumper OP2 to the lower 2 pins (bottom and middle) for factory initialization.
          3. Power the IP unit ON and leave it on for five minutes.
          4. Power down the IP unit and reset jumper OP2 to the upper 2 pins (upper and middle).
          5. Install the rear cover.
          6. The card should now be initialized and should print a status page once both the IP unit and the printer have come to a ready state.

Did that solve your problem? I have a used IP511 if you need parts- postscript chip, nic, hard drive-

See my PM'd reply... it's really odd, it's as if the NIC had been unplugged. Going into the debug console (via the serial port) and forcing a reboot I get:

              Code:
              DPO : dpoInit started
DPO : No ISA or IP-423 NIC found, reporting to SDB.
DPO : Updating NIC params in SDB ... done.
where I'd expect a "NIC Stacks Up" message at that point. Issuing a VxWorks 'devs' command shows TTYs and IDE/ATA devices, but nothing else. The PCI device table shows:

              Code:
Bus Dev Func VendID DevID Class Irq
              [...]
               00 12 00 4B43 5859 Konica PCI Device 3
               00 12 01 4B43 5859 Konica PCI Device 3
               00 12 02 4B43 5859 Konica PCI Device 3
               00 12 03 4B43 5859 Konica PCI Device 3
               00 12 04 4B43 5859 Konica PCI Device 3
               00 12 05 4B43 5859 Konica PCI Device 3
               00 12 06 4B43 5859 Konica PCI Device 3
               00 12 07 4B43 5859 Konica PCI Device 3
               00 13 00 4B43 5050 Konica PCI Device 5
              it looks like there's a:

              Code:
              00 11 00 4B43 505E Konica PCI Device 11
              missing in there.
