Copy Track Mayhem!

I have a customer with a Minolta CF2002 with the Copy Track option enabled. The system works wonderfully when they are simply making copies. However, when they are printing and they enter their user ID and password is where the problem is. When they are printing as long as they enter a valid account ID the password is irrelevant. I used five different passwords using the same account number and they all printed just fine. This shouldn't be happening. A few of the employees at this location have figured this out and ran up some pretty extreme numbers under someone else's account. Why would the Copy Track option ignore improper passwords when printing? Has anyone seen this before and how did you solve it?

i have had similar issues with bizhubs. One thing that can cause issues is that the driver and firmware version are relative. If you have a new driver and old firmware all sorts of strang things can happen.

what enviroment are you printing through? i have also had similar issues printing through terminal services.

all the drivers are up to date as is the firmware. It's just a windows xp domain, I actually went to a few of my customers with the same setup and tried it there under the guise of collecting a meter and they all do the same thing. I'm going to have to find a solution to this fast.
