How Do I stop firewall from blocking pings...

I have found that this happens with third party firewall software a lot...

The result is it could stop printing and scanning...

Can u configure the third party's specific advanced settings for each individual network connection on the computer, logging, and rules for ICMP traffic (ex. the PING command). ]
Like u can with Windows Firewall ??
check mark the Allow incoming ICMP echo request ??

The firewall shouldn't block printing but it may stop the scanning, depending on your method of scanning. Here are a couple of ports that you could open up.

    RAW - 9100
    LPR - 515
    SMB - 445
    FTP - 21

If you ever think that a firewall is blocking traffic or the cause of an issue, then the easiest thing to try is temporarily disabling the firewall. If that then fixes your issue, you can then start going down the track of what is causing the firewall the block it. In most cases with firewall software these days, is that you can add trusted networks, trusted IP ranges or trusted IP address. Usually this will allow all traffic from these trusted zones.

    Hope this helps.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Get into the advanced settings of the firewall and see if you can configure where it says:
"ICMP Packets" and either grant or allow it... you should then be able to ping it....
