    RDO Print

Had something like 10k RDO files that had to be converted to postscript when we bought a bunch of Ricohs last year. This was suggested by EFI and I don't recall too many problems with it.

Re: How to convert Xerox Docutech 135 Jobs

RDO and docujobs are different proprietary Xerox formats.
So what works with RDO conversion will not work with docujobs and vice versa.

I work at Xerox and our group does conversion to PS or PDF for both RDO and docujobs.
Docujobs are converted to ps/pdf via something we used to sell called Docujob Converter.
You can't by them anymore, but we do offer the conversion service for a fee.

If you are or your customer are interested then please let me know.

Hoepfully links are acceptable here. This is for the group i belong to.
Conversion info is under solutions testing.

Re: How to convert Xerox Docutech 135 Jobs

There is a program that we used for years that converts Docublob to useable software. It is called Docutech converter and is available at this time. We used it to convert Docublob from DT135 to jobs that could be used on 6135 machines.

Re: How to convert Xerox Docutech 135 Jobs

I agree with knigpd about the Docutech series. I have ran them over 200 million prints, refurbed them, and ran another 200 million. These are not like the little offshore machines that only last a short time, and thrown away.
Correction to my last post, the data was called Docujob converter. We had a computer that converted all jobs on DT135 file storage as interpress language (Mesa), to postscript or PDF format.

The best way to convert doc 135 blobs is to send the file regular to the docutech 135 set the preference to tiff when uploading then convert the tiff file to pdf. You only get back a low res tiff.
