Anyone got trouble scanning via SMB from a Ricoh box after Windows7 64 bit updated itself?
A colleague of mine tried all the tricks and somehow he still can't scan - just to know if anyone else has this problem.
Cheers!

Ya know I haven't tried in a bit, so I tried today and yep. Win 7 X64 SMB Scanning is not working. Tried on brand new Savin C5050 with newest firmware. Log in but cannot find specified path. Same with a C2525
The XP Pcs can still access the Share on my Win 7x64, but not any copiers.
FOUND The Answer, It is Knowledge Base ID#119589
When selecting the target PC on the [Browse Network] screen, "Cannot find the specified path. Please check the settings." is displayed.
The personal firewall is open. It is possible to access the shared folder on the Windows 7 PC from another PC.
How can I fix this?
The problem is caused by the difference in dependencies when the network connection is established by SMB. (Windows 7 requires Samba 3.0.23 or later but the device only supports an older version of Samba.)
Try entering the folder path manually, as follows:
\\Computer Name\Folder Name
I tried doing it manually instead of browsing and it worked, cheers
Thanks. I'll pass it on to my colleague who's having the problem.
Cheers!

Did you solve?
We are looking for other infos, because we're having trouble with Win7.
We have 2 PC with win 7 and 1 MP2000. One to 1 PC Scan works great, to the 2nd is not working (same PC, same installation, same Softwares)
We are thinking of a Mac Address BlackList.
Same network, same workgroup, we already checked: IP's Username & PWD, Firewall, Antivirus and Other f...ing Stuff.
Permission folders are ok.
If you can help us, you will win a free Sicilian "Granita".
Best Regards!
Vincenzo

If EACH PC is exactly the Same Version of Windows 7, and have the Same Firewall, Same Security Settings and such perhaps spyware or a Virus. MAC ADDRESS Blacklisting is usually used on Routers. Can the PC that cannot scan see the shared folder of the other PC?
Is the problem child perhaps Windows 7 "Home"? If so, that could account for some of the problem.
Another might be the network profile, is it public, home or work on the computer. This can affect how your computer is "seen" by other devices on the network.

We didn't check Spywares , we'll try,.
It's Windows 7 Professional, with private network (we checked every option)
It's weird!

We just gave up on that - installed Filezilla Server and went via FTP.
Thank you all for your replies.
