    Tools of the trade

Anyone got a cool new app, fresh idea, ultility or piece of hardware that you can recommend that has helped (is a life saver) you in your role? Eg Hard drive replicator for Fiery's, Wireshark, Dropbox app to share info on the go. Any ideas/info that saves a tech time onsite would be greatly appreciated and rewarded with max reputation points

Not really anything new, but has helped me out numerous times from my phone. Setting up a VPN connection to my work network. Then using ES File Explorer to map LAN network drives to company network shares. I can access any documents from work on my phone without using my laptop. Great for on the road. I have a Droid Evo.

I use join.me and shomypc.com a lot to remote into customers and help them out remotely. Both are free.

A Memo function on your Cell Phone filled with all of your Service Codes, Scan to Email Tips, PC Tips, Apple Tips, Passwords, Websites, Tech Support #s that you write to yourself along the way. Win Laptop, Cross over cable, long Phillips screw driver, 3-4 USB drives. Box of blank CDs in the car.
