    ricoh mpc4500 scan with crossover cable

    Is this possible to scan with xover cable to pc? i dont think so but ive been asked by a tech who has a client with no internet connection in the room and the usb wont work on win7homePre,
    ive had usb work on xp though.

    Buy a small hub/switch and place the PCs and device on the same network. Internet connection is an optional.

    Scan to a laptop (Scan-to-Folder) using a cross-over cable is always possible. Create a shared folder on your laptop and make sure the machine has write permissions.

    Yes this will work as long as your setup is correct and the machine and the pc have the same ip scheme, but not the same ip address.

    hey guys i now this aint ma post but i have always failed to give my folder full permissions in in windows xp using the same method i would use when using windows7 any help i know this may sound stupid but its really
