    Develop +25 / Konica c25 Not reporting but will scan to email

    Hi Guys,

    Wondered if any of you could shed some light on this issue I'm having. I may have overlooked something very simple.

    I've logged in and setup notification intervals for service and for monthly meter readings. Setup all the email settings, SMTP server, sender address etc etc.

    Went to notifications, total counter reading. Set the email address it needs to go to. Applied the settings. Did a "send once" and didn't receive anything.

    Restarted the machine and checked all the settings again and have done another send now. Nothing again.

    Out of interest I did a test scan to email. That went through fine to the address I want it to send a notification report to. So my smtp settings are correct.

    Has anyone ever had a similar scenario?

    Yes I have had this issue. Make sure the Machine email address and the Administrator email address are the same. If one is valid and the other is not then only 1 will work. The machine uses Machine address to send scans and the Admin address to send notifications.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply. I've managed to set that up on the larger +550 photocopier but it seems to be setup differently on these smaller A4 MFPs.

    There is no option for an administrator email address. I can set an administrator name but no email address. There seems to be only the one area I can give it an email address and that is in email settings.

    Im sure you have tried this. log onto web browser-go to network-email settings-email tx smtp settings-at the top of the page make sure you have enabled counter and notification settings.

    i cant understand what else could cause this as it can scan to email address.

    you seem to have less options on your machine than i have on mine. try using a different web browser like chrome maybe.

    Hi,

    Had a look in Chrome, Explorer and Mozilla. They are all the same.

    What model machine are you using?

    My A3 Konica/develop machines have the described settings in network>email settings>TX-smtp but these smaller MFP's don't seem to be as indepth in the things you can set in the machine.

    Make sure your "date" "time" and "time zone" are correct. If still no luck do a packet capture to see what's going on.
