Not being a smart ass, but if I get a call for a code I don't know, GOOGLE delivers most of the time. And there are some sites that just list codes. Any code in particular?

Have you ever heard of a Service Manual? It gives very detailed explanations, and even possible fixes. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Re: Search Error Codes?

Try the search function on this site.
Not only an answer for what the code is, but possible solutions that have come from people around the world.
No matter what it is, someone has run into it before and solved it.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Most technicians dont walk around with all the service manuals, plus it takes to much time to open the manual and look through it.

I was just pointing out that Search Error Codes allows you to search the code and get an answer right away. The website is also very mobile friendly and it has all the major manufacturers.

Many competent technicians do carry most manuals, and take the time to look up codes on their PC. The others call the first group. =^..^=

    Re: Search Error Codes?

I keep manuals on a thumb drive with all the drivers and cheat sheets.
Asking about a quick site for research is just lazy.
You are on the best site in the world for codes, fixes and overall information.
Most times I GOOGLE a code, I get a hit from this site with not just what the code is, but a solution.
Go to forum for that brand of machine and do the research.
Takes a few more minutes, but well worth the time.
    Other than that RTFB!
