Good evening to all. I think that your choice is pretty solid on the Xerox DocuColor 252, I can point you in the right direction and say the Xerox DocuColor 550/560 or even newer is the C60/C70. If you are looking at Production Quality print I can point you away from the 7845/7855, let me explain. The DocuColor series is designed for offset digital printing to offer a lot more benefits to what you are looking for. I have seen both model lines in action and would highly recommend the DocuColor series. For the costs that you are farming out work and easily pay the costs. I have a client that does on average of 53k printing per month on a Xerox DocuColor 252 and some that do >10k with no complaints. As far as not using the machine for a month or so, no worries just turn it off and store or you can leave it on, as it will go into Power Save mode. When looking at Ebay for them, buyer beware. Many places that take them in on trade and try to resale them do not have the proper equipment to maintain them or refurb, reman, try to sell as new and end up buying used parts to band aid a problem. Call around to a few shops and see who works on these machines, most companies that work on these will only work on Xerox.
