    Fuser Question

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could answer this for me. If someone was sent a 110v fuser and they installed it on a copier running 220v, would that short out the fuser rendering it non operational?

Most likely. If you put a 220 in a 110 it will just code because f lack of voltage.

    Re: Fuser Question

Most likely the lamps would blow within seconds. If the thermostats did not blow quick enough it might melt the upper roller to the lower roller. I've seen that a few times. It's not very easy to disassemble with the two rollers welded together. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I'm not sure that they will physically fit into the wrong machine?

    Re: Fuser Question

Certain models are keyed. Some have a jumper in the connector identifying the origin. Others do not, and just error out when the warmup time does not match it's expectations. It depends on what manufacturer/model we're talking about. Did I miss that part? =^..^=
