    toshiba 5540c error code c381 reboot machine

    hello everyone.....i'm working on toshiba 5540c with error c381 .....I change the black developer, auto toner sensor, do 05-2404, 03-114, 03-115, 05-2788, check all the connector etc......all lock good the machine turn on print like 45 pages good and then the machine reboot by himself and when you try a new copy a error c381 going back......somebody before me, i don't know why change the hard drive on that machine so i believe it is something wrong with the firmware.......please any help....i don't have the firmware i'm a kyocera man...thanks...

    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Black cat thank you so much for your pront respond..when i perform 05 115. I can see the the two roller moving on the bearing in the front of the machine .....next tuesday I am going to check the drive coupler and post how is it....do you think i have to upgrade the firmware???

    Firmware probably won't help. I think that I would focus on the electrical connections to the developing unit, specifically developer bias, and the condition of the mag roller. It's common for the developing roller to wear out at the rear bearing, or occasionally the front bearing, and the roller wobbles closer to the drum, sometimes causing arcing to the drum. Are you using OEM toner?

    You might also check the condition of the primary charge grid and scorotron. If the primary charge is lost, the machine will rapidly de-tone the developer because it is making 100% fill black copies. When the toner is gone it starts taking the developer. =^..^=
