    CS 2550ci

Have a CS 2550ci that has a fax module. When you make copies thru the ADF it is fine. My problem is when they are faxing through the ADF, the other end is receive a total black sheet. If you fax by laying the original on glass, it is ok. Also, if you are scanning to SMB through the ADF it is streaky. So I think it something with the ADF. Do you have any idea, what could be my problem.

Check that the scanner isn't locked. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I don't think that you understand. The scanner lock can lock the scanner out of home position (slit glass reading), if the lock is engaged while the scanner is away from home position. PLEASE look at the scanner lock. =^..^=
