I have a Ricoh Mpc6003 that has repeatedly gone SC681-14 . I'm at a loss

You have an issue with the toner chip, the -14 denotes yellow.

Could simply be a faulty or damged chip on the bottle or the ID board the toner bottle connects to.

that makes sense . found one of the three switch actuators misshapen. Thanks mate.
