    can anyone relate?

I have heard that we are about to start selling the Sindoh M402 & 404. I had a look at the specs, and am concerned as the specs dont add up! They are spec'd to do 50k a month and yet thedrum like is something line 34k? Am i missing something?

First I never believe the OEM "suggested monthly volume". I cut in half whatever they suggest. You will find that many OEM's will suggest a monthly volume that exceeds their consumables or recommended PM schedule. One that really had me puzzled back when they were being sold was the Di-5510 up to the Bizhub 601, they had a "suggested monthly volume of 300,000 yet the PM was due at 250,000 and drum yield was 500,000. So this means a $1,000 PM kit would be installed every month and drum every 2 months !!! Don't make sense.
