Freeflow DXP250 licence

Hi
I am a Ricoh tech. and I am servicing on a Xerox DC250 for a good friend of mine.

Everything is pretty easy and straightforward regarding the machine hardware, but the RIP is asking for a new license string. The rip is a based on a SUN machine, Xerox DXP250

Is this license thing done only by Xerox, or is there any workaround ?
( The Xerox tech charges over a 200$ just for appear and smile )

Best regards,

BRR
