    Canon ir-2800 e000602-003 error

I am working on a IR-2800 with an error code E000602-0003. I have replaced the hard drive from my canon distributor. After 3 weeks the error came back. Ordered another hard drive from distributor same thing after a few weeks error came back. The distributor said these were not direct from canon the were 3rd party. Are these hard drives bad or is the machine causing the problem?

    Thanks

    John

Make sure that the heater switch in turned OFF. That is the switch next to the ON/OFF switch. It will bake a HD. If the back of the machine (HD area) is hot and the HD is very HOT, this could be your problem. I would check this out before installing another HD.

    Error e000602-003

The heater switch was on. I switched it off and put a new HD in. Hopefully that was it.

    Thank you

I put a clear piece of plastic over the switch to keep the customer from turning it on again.
