Hey everybody. I was wondering how many of you guys still work on and/or support analog copiers?

Got two mita 3060 out in the field, I had three upgraded one earlier this year to KM 3060

I still service a bunch of the Canon NP models. Just picked up a new customer today with NP7500. Gotta have a good 30 or more analogs left.

Just the odd Toshiba that shows up now and then. Got these little boxes scattered everywhere and they are so bulletproof.

I gave a 1560 its first drum and dev change a few week ago. Machine is around 8-10 years old I believe, optics hardly had any dust on them at all. I wish more customers looked after their machines as well as this one.

Oh, but I loved getting my hands on and old, nasty Konica 2803 "Zeemer" that was just making black copies...
Spend an hour or two just vacumming and brushing -- Yank the feed unit -- cleaning clutches and applying fresh, lovely blonde Plasguard -- Clean the RADF belt inside and out -- Just breaking the guts down to parade rest and cleaning it good -- Feed rollers, coronas, the works -- Then break out the Brasso and refine that drum...

The best is cleaning out the optics so you could eat off them, backing the baffles back and cranking the CVR way way down... (The secret is pulling the halogen lamp, alcohol wiping it and scrubbing the contact ends real good with a pinched off bit of greenie pad...)

Then, lay down your Konica coated B&W test chart and dial in the front-to-rear density (leave them just a scoche light to compendsate for dust buildup weeks down the road).

Cleaning out the stand, filling the paper cassettes, and giving the toner a shake is a great extra-mile service bonus...

Ah, the good ole days...

I still service couple of Ricoh FT series I love them. They ve got problems with TD sensor, dirty mirrors and paper transport.

I still see a coupla Canon NP's occasionally, but for the most part, no. They're dead and buried. =^..^=

I have 1- Toshiba 2060 and 1- Toshiba 2860. Once a year cleanings, pm kit every 2 years and $40 a month service charge.....
