It's the only kind I've ever had, and as long as you keep the filter clean the 3M is adequate. Not wonderful, but adequate.
If you're doing B&W only, the Type 2 filter will give you a little more suction. For color the Type 1 is a must. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I want to be the first to say........
My vacuum sucks.
Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the restraints
Personally, I have not used a vacuum cleaner for over 15 years. The way I heard it is that the tip of a vacuum will typically generate 3k to 5k static voltage. This can jump to a ground up to a foot away and take out sensors along the way and cause all kinds of "Well it wasn't doing that before you came here" problems.
For me, rags are just fine.
