I have a KM-C4035 internal prints are fine and off the glass is fine but when I use the ADF I get intermittent CQ sometimes pages are blank sometimes heavy background and sometimes washed out copies never a clear copy any suggestions

Ok Jerome. There is no model KM-C4035. If it's in the Voyager or VoyagerE series it's got to be either:
KM-C2520, KM-C3225, KM-C3232, KM-C2525E, KM-C3225E, KM-C3232E, or a KM-C4035E
If its a Falcon II series it could be a:
KM-3035, KM-4035, or KM-5035
Lets start by choosing a valid model, then proceed from there. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

check your printing setting and then print. or uninstall the printer then install the printer again then printer has default setting and print the paper. sometimes printer current pages print which is selected by setting.you must select all the pages. to change the setting. and open control panel then open printers and faxes then check setting.
