We have an RP3700 and having an issue with our pink drum. Please see the steps below:

– File sent to print with pink drum installed (no master on)
– Printer receives job
– Drum goes straight into ‘Idling’ rather than applying the master
– Error notification ‘master mis-feed remove from drum and put drum back in place’
– No image burnt onto master
– Master roll rewound / Printer says ready to resume
– Resume operation, then a new error message saying “master remains on print drum, pull out print drum and remove master” A16-525
– Drum pulled out from printer, placed back in / printer says “ready to resume”
– Resumed operation, Idling / Sounds like master tried to go on drum but was spat out to the Master Disposal
– Master jammed in disposal unit and removed (no image burnt onto master)
– Master roll rewound (still no image burnt)
– Ready to resume

We have an issue with our master disposal unit which means we manually remove the master.

When rotating our pink drum (by hand) you notice that the cogs become incredibly stiff when it is locking back into position and you have to force it in to click, we are concerned that this could be part of the problem also.

We think the drum and the printer are not communicating together properly. The printer seems to think there is a master already on the drum when there isnt. The black strip by the master clamp on the drum is cracked which could cause an issue with the master sensor inside the printer?

When we try an inking action the error code A04-303 comes up

If anyone could shed any light on this issue it would be much appreciated.
