Using a color drum bought in the USA in a European (?) GR1750

    Hi everyone,

I live in Berlin, Germany. I am working with an old Risograph GR1750. Recently, I have bought a couple of additional color drums on ebay from an American seller. On the ebay page, the drums were described as "For use with: GR1700, GR1750". However, when I put the drums into the machine, the Risograph only gives me the error code C61, which, as the handbook tells me, indicates that the size of the drum is wrong for the machine I'm using. I have looked at and measured the drums thoroughly and compared them to the ones I have which are working and I can't find any difference in their makeup and size. Furthermore, they fit into the machine perfectly.

Does anyone have an idea why the drums aren't working? I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks so much, have a great day.

Take the lower front plastic cover off the drums, should be 4 screws. There's a board with DIP Switches compare those, that's what tells the machine the drum info

Sir, you saved my printing-life. Changing the DIP switches worked perfectly well.
