Ricoh DX3243 - Loading ink - forever...

Good day

we have 2 of these animals that have recently been giving us headaches.

They suddenly started running lighter and opening the drum unit reveals that there is indeed little ink in the drum. Testing the ink pump motor proves that it is running.

Replacing the pump itself, has done nothing to fix the problem.

Has anyone come across a fix for this other than replacing the whole drum unit (for which I cannot find a p/n anyway)?

Any help will be appreciated.
