Ricoh 1050 E-02
Hey,
Have traded in Ricoh Priport 1050 with E-02, think its paper tray lift error ?(no manual)
Error usually is displayed around 5-10 seconds after power on.
With the back cover off and powered on, no movement or attempted movement of the paper lift tray.
Also, don't seem to be able to enter service mode with usual Ricoh service mode procedure.
Any idea's what to check, so far only know that the sensor/button for the tray lift is Ok and Drum/master mechanisms etc seem ok.
No obvious broken parts etc,,
Thanks,

Re: Ricoh 1050 E-02
Service Program Mode Access Procedure
- Method 1 -
Clear Modes ⇒ 1 ⇒ 0 ⇒ 7 ⇒ Clear/Stop
*: Hold down the Clear/Stop key for more than 3 seconds.
- Method 2 -
Clear Modes ⇒ Clear/Stop ⇒ Economy ⇒ Enter (#)
- Method 3 -
Turn on the main switch while holding the Start, Clear/Stop, and Enter (#) keys simultaneously.
NOTE: Method 3 is a special way to enter SP mode that differs from the other two methods. For example, when a service call indicator (E-xx) is displayed at power on, SP mode can only be accessed by Method 3.
After you enter SP mode with Method 3, you can leave it by turning the main switch off then on again.

Re: Ricoh 1050 E-02
One visual check to make is to watch the paper lift table and see of there is a screw protruding too far through either the front or back frame and the table is hitting it.
