RISO GR3700 Not Burning Master
So…
Our RISO GR3700 doesn't seem to be burning the masters into the sheet/roll so we’re ending up with blank run outs.
Is this due to installing a fresh ink tube?
All help welcome

A fresh tube of ink should not cause that. If you pull out the drum, is the master inked up? Can you see an image on it? Are you running enough prints between masters? Lots of possibilities for cause here. Drum inking, master under the master, thermal print head not etching, impression roller issues, take your pick. Investigate some more will help.
Good luck.

Re: RISO GR3700 Not Burning Master
Hi Jermyth—
Its inking up but no thermal print head not etching. I make a master and run 50 sheets through and they all come out blank.
Or it could be impression roller issues but the black drum was working fine until I changed the ink.
These beasts are very temperamental.
Your help is very welcome.
Cheers

Just checked this, this isn't the issue I turned it around and the paper got stuck on the drum when it was sent through.

If you know how to get into test mode, try mode 117. It should cut a checked pattern on the master. If it still blank, check connectors to the thermal print head, possibly a fuse for power to the print head. Maybe the image board is gone bad. Also the whole thermal print head could be dead.
Also double check the master on the drum that it has NO etching. If it's etched then there is something else going on.
Good luck.
