    SC7700 RP/GR compatibility?

    Hello,

    I'm looking for a SC7700 for a RP3700.
Since it's very difficult to find one, I'm thinking about purchasing a GR machine that include it as they are more available.
    Are they compatible?

One of my machines (the one I use most) has only a Centronics port in wich I can connect a PC via a USB-Parallel conversor. That works sometimes (depending on the filesize I think) so I have to use the scanbed usually. The other (I keep it as spare in a friend's house, so very little use) has also that Centronics port and something similar to a SCSI port that I think could be the interface port to a SC (I never saw one).

I'm searching into the forum and find a lot of information about installation errors and procedures, the wire and so, but canīt find something about the internal board inside the Riso

    Any help is welcomed
    Thank you

    Re: SC7700 RP/GR compatibility?

The SC7700 is not RP compatible. A SC7900 is. So don't go looking for a GR it's not compatible either.

The RP is also network capable with at RISORINC-net C card. Or B pending on serial number.

    Good luck.

I may have a SC 7900. Let me check. I have a small collection of Riso controllers that will work in various Risos.

    Thank you very much, jermyth

I've seen sometimes a RP3700 selled with a SC7700 so I understood they were compatible. I know compatible is not the same that "can work", so your advice is time-saving.
    Thank you

    Re: SC7700 RP/GR compatibility?

I have a Riso SC-3500 controller with no cable- this requires a scsi-type cable to connect from the controller to the Risograph.

I have a SC7000 which may be compatible with the RP series if you have the network card installed.

I have the network card kit available as well- the Risorinc-Net C p/n S-4094

    I also have a PS7R controller
    I also have a PS7R-9000 controller
These are both network-based and may work with the RP, although I have no way to document for sure that they will work.

    Thank you ddude,

As I told you, I'm not sure if any of this options suits my needs... and my skills!
