Riso RP3700 vertical registration
Just purchased a RP3700 with 3.5 million impressions. The vertical registration is very poor, sometimes off as much as .25 inch. Any help addressing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

There is a one-way on the back of the timing roller(chrome) and a brake on the front side that will give out and cause your timing to be off.Replace the one-way and brake and if you can get the timing roller would be better.

Thank you for the reply. Are you talking about the load spring and the one-way spring. Do any other parts need to be replaced in conjunction with the other two such as load spring collar or shaft guide or the gear on the end of the timing roller shaft? Thanks again.

Yes.If you can get the collar for the brake replace both of them for better registration. Also clean or replace the feed clutch if you can get one.Dont think the timing roller needs to be replaced at this time.Maybe by 5 or 6 million then i would be ready for that.

What do you use to clean the clutch with? Should it be removed or can you clean it on the machine? I have ordered the two springs and I should have them soon. Will reply with the results. Thanks again.

If you are not able to open it and get it back exactly right you may want to just replace it.They are "somewhat" sealed with a brass ring.
