RISO HC 5000 Encoder error

Could any one help me with how to resolve this problem. A recently installed Riso HC5000 continues to give this error when print command is sent to the printer. Once the command for print is received by the printer it starts to process same for printing and tells you it is printing but just as the printer is about to pick paper of either of three trays the machine goes to a code error: S01-204 Call Service. A check on a tech manual reveals encoder error. Need to know how to enter service mode to clear code or whatever means to resolve this code and start to print with this printer.

When I power up the RISO, I get error 504-307. Un-able to use the printer. Any help appreciated....
