    Riso rz990 missfeed

Having a difficult time with a missfeed where it shows a jam in the drum and a jam in the feeder but there is nothing in the drum area and the paper/envelope just starts into the machine and is not picked up by the rollers. Blowing air in the feeder sometimes helps - sometimes not. Blowing on the inner rollers and sensors sometimes will clear the problem for some time also, problem always comes back. Sorry this sounds so sketchy. Any help would be appreciated.

    Rep Power

    Hi ,
I have had the same thing happen on a RP3700 (6million copies). There was so much paper dust under the lens of the paper sensor (between the secondary feed) that it was detecting paper.Took it all apart and removed the ball of dust and reassembled. Not a fun repair but had to be done. You can check each paper sensor in service mode before you start with the screw driver.
