the problem with this machine is the language in the lcd panel change to japanes after shutdown the machine and stay about 5-10 minutes .
i retern it to english but after shut down its retern again to japanes???
how can resolvethis problem

I would bet your backup battery on the main board is bad, not keeping your new settings.

is the battery inside the eeprom IC .
i didnt get any other battery on the board .
what do you think the pins which shuld be connect the external battery on the IC.

The battery should look like a big watch battery on the main board, not on an IC.

in the Ricoh jp-5000 duplecator i think there are no pattery on the board.
but wreten on the eeprom IC
